After the sudden closure of the Maxol Garage on the Baldoyle Road last month, residents will be delighted that the most easterly forecourt on the peninsula has reopened.
St. Mary’s Secondary School, Baldoyle present:
The end of year highlight for our Transition Year happens next week when the students present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show runs for three nights, Wednesday 15th May, Thursday 16th May and Friday 17th May
Once again, the students are really putting a lot of time and effort into the musical so it promises to be an exciting night of songs, dance and entertainment. Tickets are very reasonably priced at €12 for Adults and €10 for Senior Citizens and Children. A family ticket costs €38. Tickets can be bought at St. Mary’s Secondary School. For more information email the school at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 8325591.
Baldoyle’s Robbie Brady & Hull City FC will be in the Premiership next year after Leeds beat Watford.
according to Sean Kenny TD
“This site (off the Grange Road) is within the area which is currently under the consideration of Fingal County Council in the development of a Local Area Plan (LAP). Following publication of the LAP all outstanding PCC issues and timescales will be finalised.” more
I do not recall Baldoyle being on the controversial list of areas earmarked for a PCC. Previously the Minister was under fire for selecting sites in Dublin Fingal (his own constituency) and later the Labour Jnr. Minister resigned over the matter.
Schools to merge
The primary schools of Baldoyle have discussed merging the two schools from September 2013. St Mary’s primary school Baldoyle & St. Peter & Paul’s BNS are in the process of informing the archbishop and more details on the new mixed school will be posted as it transpires.

A strange Contraption was spotted today on Seagrange Green by many Baldoyle locals. The Contraption, resembling a mix between Molly Malone’s famous cart and the Mars Rover, was in fact a high tech piece of survey equipment.
This was a part of a magnetometry survey undertaken by the Grassroots Archaeology Project which is a homegrown, community based initiative
which seeks to combine professional expertise and local support to unearth the story of a forgotten monument.
